For 16 years, Lynn Anderson has sampled candies and chocolates from all across the globe in search for great confections. Not a bad job if you ask me.  Her business, PD3 Inc., specialized in developing products for other companies, but after spotting a distinctive, versatile, and easy-to-brand small candy at an international trade show for confections and cookies, she decided to launch her own candy line.  She worked with the Polish manufacturer of this special little candy to reformulate the product after securing sole-rights to the US market, and launched her company called Caramoo.

What's so special about these soft and crumbly caramels? They're made from 100% European butter and full-cream milk and handmade in small batches from classic European recipes. The rich flavor is created through the natural caramelization of their all-natural ingredients, without the help of artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, or GMO ingredients. And since 2006, Caramoo has been donating their confections to Operation Gratitude, an organization that sends care packages to internationally stationed American Soldiers, to lift morale and express her appreciation for their dedicated service.

The Naturally Savvy team found Camaroo irresistible - having just one candy made us want to have another, and another, and then another. Deceptively firm to the touch, the Caramel Crumbles (both Original and Honey varieties) break away like soft, fresh fudge with a surge of sweet, sugary goodness. While the Caramel Crumbles, well, crumble, the Creme Fudge candies sort of melt in your mouth, becoming a deliciously creamy toffee that quickly dissolves on your tongue (and doesn't stick to your teeth). Though the Vanilla variety was delightful and the Mocha flavor was spot on, our favorite had to be the Dark Chocolate Creme Fudge with it's savory chocolate taste that would please any chocoholic.

Caramoo caramels were a big hit and fulfilled our candy fixes using all-natural ingredients. Without a doubt, Caramoo earns the Naturally Savvy Seal of Approval.
